HiDEA—A Dream Come True
The name HiDEA came naturally. It was a play on the “high ideas” that flowed freely when I was in my creative zone. After months of testing, tweaking, and overcoming obstacles, HiDEA became more than just a name—it became a representation of everything I had worked for.
What started as a high idea is now a growing business—a passion project turned into a thriving brand. HiDEA’s mission is simple: to offer luxury cannabis-themed candles that elevate spaces and break the stigma around cannabis use. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet night at home or celebrating with friends, HiDEA candles are here to add that special touch.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I can't wait to see where this creative, cannabis-filled adventure takes us next.

Hi, I’m Anita!
Let me take you back to where it all began—
when getting high and doing DIY projects in my house became the spark for something much bigger. I wanted to create a space where I could proudly display my beautiful bongs and flower, so I designed my very own "Coffee and Cannabis" bar. It became my safe place, and in that freedom, I found my purpose within the cannabis community. I was determined to embrace my love for cannabis, break free from the stigma surrounding it, and create something that reflected my passion.
As I spent more time in this space, my "high ideas" (or as I like to call them—Hideas) started flowing. Before I knew it, I was experimenting with pouring wax, testing wicks, and mixing fragrances. What started as a personal journey to end the stigma became a business that blends my love for cannabis and creativity in ways I never imagined.

Cannabis saved me—
How Cannabis Changed My Life
mentally and creatively. For years, I struggled with overthinking, but cannabis allowed me to quiet the noise and embrace my true self. Instead of feeling ashamed about being a "stoner," I finally accepted that cannabis helps me navigate life in a way that nothing else can. It gave me the freedom to pursue my passions and dive into something I had always loved—creating. Through cannabis, I rediscovered the joy I found as a child in crafting, and that spark has grown into something so much more.
The cannabis community has been nothing short of inspiring. There are so many like-minded people who share my experiences and understand the creative benefits of this incredible plant. I’ve found my place, and now I’m dedicated to making cannabis a normalized and celebrated part of home life—just like any other beloved decor or hobby.

A Journey of Discovery
I’m a creative person who has dabbled in many hobbies throughout my life. From graphic design to multimedia projects, I’ve always been drawn to artistic expression. When I was diagnosed with ADHD at 34, everything clicked. I realized my creative side wasn’t a limitation—it was my strength. Cannabis helped me unlock that potential, and through it, I embraced my creativity without restriction.
Before cannabis was legalized in my province, my life was very different. Being able to legally enjoy the plant has truly saved me. I remember smoking weed as a teenager and spending hours sketching in my notebooks. Over the years, I understood how cannabis fuels my creativity, and that’s what inspired me to explore its many benefits.
How It All Led to HiDEA
The idea for HiDEA came during one of my creative sessions at home. I’ve always loved integrating my glass pieces and cannabis into my décor, and I wanted to share that with others. Creating a space that celebrates cannabis and makes it feel natural was important to me. That's when the idea of "surprise candles" was born. The perfect combination of crafting, creativity, and cannabis.
I didn’t start with candles in mind. In fact, surprise candles weren’t my first high idea. I’ve kept a bullet journal for years to track my thoughts and ideas during my sesh, but many of them didn’t make it past the paper. Some failed in testing, while others just didn’t feel right when revisited. But when I opened up a DIY beeswax candle kit one day and paired it with a smoke session, I was hooked.
Within two weeks, I was experimenting with wax, wicks, and fragrance oils. The rest of the business? Well, that was a whole new adventure. From logo design to the science of candle-making, I dove headfirst into the process. But it wasn’t just about making a product—it was about building a brand, and that's where the real work began.
